New 118,000-square-foot facility will strengthen product availability, distribution flexibility and year-round customer service.

That feedback is helping shape the next stage of Black Earth’s growth.
Black Earth, a WestMET Group company, is establishing a new Calgary Operations Centre that will serve as a major storage, distribution and production hub for our expanding North American warehouse network.
At approximately 118,000 square feet, the facility will provide substantially more indoor space for finished-product inventory, order assembly and shipment staging. It will also include future production capability, offices and collaborative space for the growing Black Earth team.
The Calgary Operations Centre is designed to help us:
- Build and protect more finished-product inventory ahead of peak demand.
- Keep more product indoors and reduce exposure to changing environmental conditions.
- Consolidate inventory from our production facilities into a central shipping location.
- Improve product availability and support shorter, more predictable lead times.
- Give customers and carriers greater flexibility around pickup, freight and delivery.
- Stage multiple orders and shipments more efficiently.
Calgary’s location also provides strong access to major transportation corridors, positioning the facility to support customers across Western Canada and the broader North American market.
This is more than an investment in additional space. It is an investment in making Black Earth easier to work with.
Fit-out and move-in work will take place in stages as we prepare the facility for operations. We look forward to sharing the progress and introducing customers to our new Calgary home as the work continues.
